EOS
This film is an experimental narrative in the tradition of such existentialist cinema rarities as Baraka, Koyaanisqatsi, and Samsara.
Invoking ethereal metaphors of the, “The Hero’s Journey”, through homage of ancient eastern philosophies and archetypal phenomena, and mirrored by the masterful surfing of Longboarding icon, Kassia Meador, EOS examines the odyssey that is consciousness. The viewer follows a Woman who is bound to a temporal existence, as she embarks on an exodus through the tidal forces of life, death, and a metaphysical duality. Director Bruce Muller explores this delicate thread that synthesizes all things in a seemingly antithetical world. The dichotomy between atomistic Cityscapes, Forests, Deserts, Oceans and beyond are captured through the dynamic cinematography of surf film legend, Sonny Miller, and Scott Soens. An intricately woven meditation, EOS ultimately arrives at an epoch where subjective and objective worlds and realities are blurred.
